Five of our associate Organizations served a day in and out for Kanchanjanga Trrain accident victims. Accident occurred at Rangapani, Jalpaiguri, West Bengal on 17th June 2024. It took away 9 precious lives while more than 50 passengers sustained serious injuries. 

    Immediately after the Accident “Siliguri Suryanagar Samajkalyan Santha (SSSS)“, “Matigara Social Welfare Organisation (MSWO)“, “Siliguri Society for Nature Education & Health Awareness(SNEHA)” and Alipurduar Manabik Mukh and Alipurduar  District Social Workers and Blood Donor Association (SWBDA). together reached the accident place with Ambulance and First aid. Many passengers were rescued and deported to the Uttar Banga Medical College and Hospital at Jalpaiguri. 

     An emergency blood donation drive has been started there at the Hospital. The Blood Centre collected 144 units. Out of which 106 medical students came forward to donate blood when 38 were common people and Organization members. We express our gratitude to every volunteer and blood donor.  We do commemorate every family who lost their loved ones in this accident.  For any further support, we shall be delighted to help you.
